Paramedics Plus | Alameda County, California

Alameda County EMS in Northern California is the newest partner of Paramedics Plus, an
ambulance transport system with proven success across the nation.

With a customer focused business model, we are committed to providing excellent and efficient service to the 1.5 million residents of Alameda County.

While many of the EMTs and paramedics on staff have served Alameda County for years, they are now doing so in a fleet of 57 new teal-and-white Paramedics Plus ambulances.
All ambulances are equipped with state-of-the-art life-support systems, including 12-lead EKG transmission capabilities and LUCAS chest compression devices. Each ambulance also employs the Road Safety SafeForce Driving System, which has been shown to reduce accidents and maintenance costs while improving driver abilities.

Paramedics Plus developed, along with Alameda County Regional Emergency Communications Center, a new and innovative way to dispatch ambulances through the 9-1-1 emergency system.

In order to reduce response times, Paramedics Plus uses the Mobile Area Routing and Vehicle Location Information System (MARVLIS) of real-time communications and deployment. Medical data and telephone triage are managed by the MARVLIS system utilizing the truck PC mobile data terminal.

These advancements are part of our commitment to raising standards, with a goal of qualifying for the prestigious California Award of Performance Excellence within five years of partnership between Alameda County and Paramedics Plus.

Paramedics Plus-Alameda continues to develop partnerships with the County Fire Agencies. We have a very unique relationship with the Alameda County Fire Department; providing all of our dispatch services through their "Alameda County Regional Emergency Communications Center," better known as ACRECC.
